Why it swaps (33%) while there is still a lot free memory (50% ~60GB)








Where are you getting the numbers from? Which tools? 




by top and it seems oracle process used most of the swap
It's the other way around, /tmp is a virtual tmpfs type filesystem and is 
backed by virtual memory. Virtual memory is backed by both memory and your 
disk swap area. If /tmp is showing 33% full, it's because files have been 
created there, not because you are swapping.
