HP-UX 10.20 - Help on sending email from command line

www.unixbabuforum.inOur client can use different type of Unix platforms: SCO, IBM AIX, HP-UX,
Linux, Sun Solaris,...

On platform like SCO or AIX, we normally configure the file "" to
forward email from Unix to either Internet or the Client Mail server and
then we use the usual command "/bin/mail -s <subject> <email address> <
<filename of text file>"

However, on the HP-UX (our client has HP9000 with HP-UX 10.20), I cannot
find the Unix command that can do the same thing. So my question is: after
you configure properly, what is the Unix command that you can
send an email outside (from the command line)?
From the man page of "sendmail" or "mail", it doesn't tell me much about
what I am trying to setup.

I went on HP website and because I am not a user, nor a client, I couldn't
search everything to find a possible answer.

mailx -s "Subject" email@removed < message.txt

mailx -s "Subject" email@removed enter
type in your message
end message with .

www.unixbabuforum.intry /usr/bin/mail or /usr/bin/mailx?
