Java Does Not Initiate with "-D64" Option

www.unixbabuforum.inAfter upgraded JDK1.5.0.4 to JDK1.5.0.14 on HPUX11.11 PA-RISC 2.0, jboss application is unable to start with -d64 option. It just hangs. If I remove the -d64, it can start. Why? I am stuck. Any ideas?
I get the following VM initialization error.
/opt/jboss/jboss-4.0.3SP1/bin >

www.unixbabuforum.inFirst of all hopefully you are running this version of Java on a 64-bit server and not 32-bit. Check with command "getconf KERNAL_BITS" check man getconf in case. Then check the actual version you're running (<java-home>/bin/java -version) and ensure path and symlink are all updated after the installation.
- Then you also need to make sure that you have all recommended patches for this version of Java check to make sure with HP Java pagehttp://h18012.www1.hp.com/java/patches/g-11.11-5.0-1111.0606.html which will list two patches and a patch bundle which must be installed.

- Oh and do not forget to check you kernal parameters they too can cause havoc on JAVA.
