Trusted and Untrusted Systems

www.unixbabuforum.inThis there a quick way to find out if a system is trusted or uptrusted?
what does it mean to have a shadow password?
How do I configure my system to be a trusted system?

www.unixbabuforum.in1) Quick way to find out if your system is trusted is to issue the command "ll /tcb" if the directory exists then you have the directory when a system has been converted to a trusted system.
2) To have a shadow password is when the /etc/passwd file has a "*" star in the second columnn just after the user id. For example purposes let's say your UNIX user id is "Uxusr2004" the your encrypted shadow password would be stored under the /tcb directory inside the file "/tcb/files/auth/U/Uxusr2004".
3) To convert a system into trusted mode execute the command "tscovert -s" or "man tsconvert" for man pages.
